So school is started!

We had a few funny things that happened today.  First M was making a picture of someone running to go with the new word that she was learning.  She draws a women with a beard blowing in the wind.  I asked her what women she knows that has a beard and she told me that she had seen one a long time ago when she was little.  Then to add to the joy she made a guy with green lipstick so funny.  She also learned how to text message today and that was fun.
A on the other hand was learning about the Navajo Indians.  She had to find out one more fact about them today in her book.  As she was reading the book she though that it said "spinach put the sheep to sleep."  In reality the book said that "The Spanish brought the sheep to into the lives of the Indians."  So that made for a great story.  She is also catching on to her multiplication so much faster then I thought that she would.  She already has the ones and twos down.  I am so proud of her.  She is also learning about verbs and she is flying through that.  Even thought we had a hard time explaining why the sun was a noun if you couldn't touch it.
