OUTRAGED

Outraged about this law that is going to take effect on Feb 10 2009.

This will stop all sell of clothes, books, and toys that will be used for children under the age of 12. Unless they can afford to pay for lead and phthalates testing by an independent party.

I personally think that this is horrible. Besides the fact that a lot of people will no longer be able to make a living selling second hand children clothes. This is going to hurt families that buy these clothes for their family. Not everyone can afford to pay the price at the store. Then the clothes that you can afford are not of a high quality. It should be interesting what happens after this. I mean do you think that a lot of clothes are made with lead? I wouldn't think so and I understand the toys. I can do without them. But the books I can't do without because I want my children to love reading and I believe that you need to have books available. Sorry this hit a nerve and I am frustrated.

That is SOOOO ridiculous! We will have a hard time affording to raise four kids on new clothes, shoes, toys, books, and equipment. I shop second hand stores almost exclusively for my kids' stuff. And I sell our stuff too! =( Hopefully this will not go into effect as is.
