People with more then one child

Do you ever fill like you don't get that special time with the second one. I have been filling this way lately. I fill that I had some many special bonding moments with my first child but the second I just don't seem to have the time. So I am making a very big effort to make bed time very special for her. It seems to be working and for that I am glad. I don't want her to miss out on time with me just because she has a big sister to compete with. I know that not the way it should be but with me trying to teach A. at home I seem to not get as much one on one with M. I hope that I am not the only one with this problem.
I decided to test A. to see what she had learned this year. She was able to identify all of her uppercase letters. She knew all her lowercase letters (trouble with b and d and the q because it didn't have the curve on the tail). So we will start hitting that harder. But what knocked my socks off was when she took out the hooked on math. She wanted to play that game so I took out the flash cards. We went over a few of the addition problems like 0+a number. Well then we got to 1+1, 1+2, 1+3, 1+4. I went over them once with her and manipulates. I didn't expect her to get it but she did and fast. She was telling me them the rest of the even just off the top of her head. I was amazed and shocked.
I received this email from a Old Schoolhouse magazine website for homeschooling. Well it talked about how they are trying to get head start programs for very young kids and make it mandatory that your children attend. I see this from two different views but here is that base of what they feel is misleading information. I was going to comment on the information but I think I will just let you see it. If anyone wants the whole story I can email it to you. I am a firm believer that parents are an important part of school no matter were the school is (public, private, home). This bill didn't mention parents but to say that most of the time is easier without them being involved. The letter didn't say what state this bill is from but I found it very informational.
Myth #1: Universal preschool programs for children aged three and four are necessary for success in school and in life and will save taxpayers money down the line.
Myth #2: Children should be required to attend full-day kindergarten programs
Myth #3: You need a degree to teach preschoolers.
Myth #4: Public schools should be the primary providers of preschool education.
