Lets say I have spent the whole day cleaning and making the house look as good as it can. we are having family come in and we want them to see the nice part of the house. It has been hard work due to the fact that I am a pack rat. I will keep anything as long as I THINK their might be a use for it. My mother was nice enough to come help. I about lost it when she started throwing clothes away. But in all fairness she does buy the girls a lot of their clothes. Then she inspired me to throw all those mismatching socks away. Man did that get rid of a lot of socks. why is it that socks never stay together???? I have always had that problems!!! I am very tired and happy with what I have done today.
Talk to you later!!!

We had a very similar day. Cleaning. Laundry. It does feel good to get things done. I wish I could say it all got done.
It's the sock monster!
And Jo had to make me throw away a whole basket of them that I just kept expecting the mates to show back up.
I will have to admit that there's one good thing about moving around a lot...you quickly realize what's important to have and what's important to have not! I'm a rat-packer but thanks to my husband's VERY organizational skills, I have downsized considerably. Our motto is, "If it's been more than 2 yrs since you've used it - THROW it away!" Like those size 6 pants that I'll never getting back into! Parting was such sweet sorrow but after having to pack & repack and unpack all my junk, well, life is a lot simpler! ;)
in my house 2 socks make a pair...they don't have to match. this saves alot of matching problems. of course i only but white socks. wouldn't want them to get laughed at for wearing 2 different color socks.
