Baby Birds

Something happen to my oldest the other day to teach her more about life then she ever wanted to learn. One of her great grandma's found a bird nest that had baby eggs in it. Some mean cats had either killed or scared the mom bird away. So g.g. decided to keep the nest and show it to the girls the next time they came over. Well she let my oldest hold the egg and she squeezed it too hard. It busted all over the place and caused a mad run to the shower while clothes went into the washing machine. Let's say it scared her very bad. She cried for a long time after that and keep saying she was sorry. It was an accident and a gross accident but still an accident.

I have been thinking about this all weekend and wondering about it. I know that there are a lot of mother birds that are reading this. I also know that we want to protect are children from the mean of this world. But the bad things are all around and they don't stop coming. So I have to just pray that the Lord will protect my child from anything that too hard for her. A. also said "mommy what about the birds?" "Will God make any more?" and I responded yes he will make more birds. But he will also make more good people if we are doing his will and being his light. Man was I convicted. Sometimes I am like A. crying to be comforted but can't stomach the reason why bad things keep happening. Don't get me wrong I know that sin was brought into the world by our disobedience. Lord when will the crying stop when you come back I know. Please come back soon so that we can feel what it is like to see love ones, and not have to watch bad things happening anymore to the ones we love.
